And without mercy, they slaughtered their kin, with Death taking their souls into an amulet, and giving it to the Crowfather. The four, including the one who would lead them, Death, accepted. Desperate to stop the carnage, the Charred Council summoned four of the Nephilim, and asked for their aid in stopping the Nephilim, in exchange for unimaginable power. As such, they laid siege to the White City to conquer it for themselves. Half-demon, half-angel, the Nephilim found themselves jaded by the realization that they had no kingdom to call their own, like the White City, the Demon Realm, or the third kingdom of Earth. Thousands of years ago, there was a race of powerful warriors known as the Nephilim. Profession: Reaper of souls, servant of the Charred CouncilĪliases: Kinslayer, Executioner, Pale Rider, Horseman Summary: Although Toothless somewhat resists the mental powers of the Bewilderbeast, it’s not enough to be able to fight against it without using counters. Toothless’s power over dragons as the Alpha fails against young dragons, and those who are riled up with emotions, or those who have blinded themselves. The Screaming Death’s screams can disorient Toothless. Blue Oleander is deathly poisonous to dragons. Has a tendency to move towards a light source. Scratching Toothless below his neck lulls him into unconsciousness, as well as pinching him on his neck. Dragon Root makes Toothless lose all sensibility due to its irresistible scent. Originally Toothless was completely unable to fly without a rider, but this has changed as of the events of The Hidden World. If a Grimora attaches to him, Toothless gains the same traits as when he eats an eel, but without the boosted firepower. For example, if he eats an eel, he goes berserk and skittish, not trusting anyone else, and his fire becomes more out of control/loses the six-shot limit. As a dragon, Toothless is susceptible to dragon weaknesses. Has a six-shot limit for his plasma blasts.

If Toothless loses his artificial tail, he loses the ability to fly.

And so, the Vikings released their dragons to the Hidden World, and set up a new village on a nearby island, where they live to this very day. Through a prolonged bonding, Toothless and the Light Fury ended up becoming companions in the Hidden World, making Hiccup realize that the dragons would be safer if not among humans. It seemed like peace would reign once more, but again, another hunter by the name of Grimmel the Grisly appeared, attempting to capture and kill Toothless, the last remaining member of the Night Fury species, by baiting him with a female Light Fury. But when the island of Berk was at its lowest point, Toothless rose up, and challenged Drago’s Bewilderbeast for the status of Alpha, winning the title and saving Berk. The reunion was cut short by the arrival of Drago Bludvist, a dragon killer with his own Bewilderbeast that he used to slay Valka’s, claiming ownership over all the dragons it controlled. For the next five years, Hiccup trained and tamed nearly every dragon across the world, defeating the hunters who tried to kill them alongside Toothless, until one day Hiccup encountered his mother Valka by accident in the depths of her hidden nest, secretly protecting a Bewilderbeast (the King of Dragons). But Hiccup proved himself worthy by defeating the Red Death in the nest on Dragon Island, ushering in a new age of peace. However, on the day Hiccup was meant to slay a Monstrous Nightmare, he instead attempted to show the dragons could be allies, to the ire of the Vikings, and especially his father, the chief Stoick the Vast. So, working tirelessly each day, he designed a new tail for him, christened the dragon Toothless, and eventually developed a bond with the beast, allowing Hiccup to ride the dragon, and applying the knowledge he learned by studying it to “conquer” the dragons he was trained to fight. However, instead of killing it, Hiccup set it free, but without its tail the dragon couldn’t fly. That all changed one day, when Hiccup managed to shoot down the most feared dragon in the archipelago: a Night Fury. While his peers went out and fought alongside their Viking brethren to slay dragons, Hiccup was stuck in the blacksmith’s shop crafting weapons. When Hiccup was born, he was always seen as weak and unfit to be a Viking.
